Today we are going to practice making nouns plural in French, and identifying the gender of a noun. Use the two links below to take notes on each topic.
In French, your adjectives need to agree with their noun in number and gender. We don't have to do this in English so it will take some getting used to!

introduction to verbs: regular -er
For the next few days, we will work on conjugating regular -ER verbs in French. We conjugate all the time in English, but we usually aren't even aware that we're doing it! Below is a conjugation chart for regular -ER verbs. Think of conjugating like an equation: first, you subtract the last two letters. Then, you add the corresponding ending.
negation
In English, a sentence is commonly negated by inserting a single negative word (not, don't, didn't, won't , etc.) into the appropriate place in the sentence. In French, a sentence is commonly negated by inserting two words.

Goal 4: Quality Education
Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development. Major progress has been made towards increasing access to education at all levels and increasing enrollment rates in schools particularly for women and girls. Basic literacy skills have improved tremendously, yet bolder efforts are needed to make even greater strides for achieving universal education goals. For example, the world has achieved equality in primary education between girls and boys, but few countries have achieved that target at all levels of education.
