Cultural norms are shared expectations and norms that guide our behavior in our social groups. In this unit, you will learn how to greet people in French and you will also be introduced to some Francophone cultural norms when it comes to greetings.
What are social norms for greetings in the United States? What about other cultures? For two homework stamps, read the article linked above (How to Non-Awkwardly Greet People from Different Countries) about greetings across the world. Choose 5, one must be France and you may not choose the United States, and summarize what you learned for those 5 countries. Your summary may be written or visual, but it must be well done.
